Sian Haydon Psychotherapist and ADHD Coach Auckland. Mental health and wellness, anxiety and self-esteem issues.

A PLACE TO BEGIN

I am a registered psychotherapist with a passion for helping people aged 18+ begin living a life that feels purposeful, creative, and truly them.My practice is a space of acceptance, discovery and growth. It is a place where you can feel supported. While gaining insight and understanding of how we become who we are is important, an integrated approach means I also offer active ways to cultivate a calm mind and tap into inner confidence. You can introduce these into your daily life and establish wellbeing rituals that work for you.

How we begin

Therapy and coaching is a collaboration. I believe you are the foremost expert on you, but humans weren't built to do it all alone. In fact, suppressing and keeping things inside can make us unwell. We all need places of solace, spaces for expression, and the guidance of others to discover everything we are and hope to be.This work is an evolving journey that you'll take at your own pace. Beginning therapy is courageous, and it is important to choose a therapist that you truly feel comfortable with. After you reach out, a phone call or initial session will help us establish what you're hoping for from therapy and help you to decide if you'd like us to work together.I work in-person in Grey Lynn or online on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays.Cost: $150 per 50 minute session.

We might work on

  • Anxiety

  • Self-esteem + identity

  • ADHD symptoms (motivation, focus, task initiation, communication)

  • Finding meaning, purpose + creativity

  • Relationship challenges

  • Other general challenges of being a human - talk to me about what you're struggling with

Why a mind-body approach?

I find that a mind-body philosophy empowers us to create our own internal safe space from which we can become strong, and able to take action from when we're ready. It is holistic and takes into account all aspects of being – breathing, walking, talking, creating, relating. It is trauma informed, affirming and non-pathologising.

My background + qualifications

My clinical experience includes supporting people with chronic illnesses at Auckland Hospital's Immunology and Allergy clinic, and people with general mental health concerns at AUT's Integrated Health clinic. My practice is also shaped by my prior education in art and design (Bachelor of Design). As a creative and artistic person, I see the therapy process as a creative collaboration.
