I am a registered psychotherapist working with people 18+ who are experiencing a specific challenge, trauma, or a feeling that they want more from their life.“You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending”
C.S. LEWIS
Often, we find ourselves carrying our past experiences with us into our present lives. At times this impacts us in difficult ways, creating challenges in our relationships and even physical symptoms that cause pain or discomfort. Once we become more aware, we are able to make conscious choices that feel authentic and purposeful to us. Therapy provides an opportunity to get to know yourself better, or to speak about experiences you may not have been able to express in the past. Together, we can explore your life through a curious and non-judgemental approach, practice rituals to calm the nervous system, and find new ways to move forward.

How we begin therapy

Therapy is a collaboration. I believe you are the foremost expert on you, but humans weren't built to do it all alone. In fact, keeping things inside can make us unwell. We all need places of solace, spaces for expression, and sometimes a helping hand to allow us to begin the work of discovering everything we are and hope to be.This work is a way to deeper, long-lasting change. Beginning therapy is courageous, and it is important to choose a therapist that you truly feel comfortable with. After you reach out, a phone call or initial session will help us establish what you're hoping for from therapy and help you to decide if you'd like us to work together.I work in-person in Grey Lynn on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Some online sessions offered also.Cost: $150 per 50-minute session.

We might work on

  • Anxiety

  • Self-esteem + identity

  • ADHD symptoms (motivation, focus, task initiation, communication)

  • Finding meaning, purpose + creativity

  • Depression

  • Relationship challenges

  • Other general challenges of being a human - talk to me about what you're struggling with

Why take an integrated approach to therapy?

I work with an integrated approach. Alongside talk therapy, a mind-body philosophy empowers us to create our own internal safe space from which we can become strong, and able to take action from, when we're ready. It is holistic and takes into account all aspects of being – breathing, walking, talking, creating, relating.
